Hello and welcome to our Drama Department at Studio A, we’re so happy you stopped by! At STUDIO A we offer a drama stream that is a well organised and run by incredibly talented and highly qualified drama instructors. We offer acting classes for students from 4 years of age through to HSC drama studies. We offer classes in film studies, behind the camera, stand up comedy, script, theatre, improvisation and HSC drama curriculum.

Watch your child perform
For parents, families and friends, we hold an annual, affordable concert where you can watch the improvement in your child. We are also including ‘viewing nights’ into our schedule where parents can come to class and watch what your children are currently working on.

We pride ourselves on our controlled class sizes where we treat your child as an individual, not just a number in our troupes. Each child is on their own unique journey, learns at a different pace, and deserves to be taught in a nurturing environment where their teacher recognises this!

Representation 
For the more serious actors, STUDIO A offers representation opportunities. Representation can lead to many different opportunities such as television commercials, extra work, television shows, short films, movies etc. Check out our NEWS page to see what some of our drama students are up to!

No Acting Experience Necessary
No prior acting experience is required, and we welcome any child who would like to attend our drama classes or try one for free.
Our acting classes are perfect for students wanting to socialise, have FUN and try a new hobby. They’re are also perfect for students wanting to take acting seriously and can lead to professional acting opportunities.
Our drama classes will teach:
- Focus
- Improvisation
- Vocal control
- Movement
These skills are gained by participating in, and learning how to properly execute, the following:
- Improvisation exercises
- Playbuilding
- Monologues/Duologues
- Drama games
- Scene work
- Character development
- Film studies
- Script work

We believe EVERY student has something to gain by undertaking drama classes at STUDIO A. These classes are appropriate for students that are shy, anxious, lacking in confidence and are looking to try something new/step out of their comfort zone.
