FAQ

We have answered some of the frequently asked questions (FAQ) we receive from new parents! Please CONTACT US if your question is not answered.

Can my child trial a class?

YES! We encourage every child to trial a class before committing. Our aim is to make sure every child is comfortable in their chosen class in terms of age, ability, teaching style etc. Your child will be the best judge of whether a class feels right which is why we always offer free trials. We’re happy to work with you and your child to find the perfect class, style and teacher for them.

How do I organise a free trial?

You can either CONTACT US or CLICK HERE to organise your free trial. No prior experience necessary.

What does my child wear to their first lesson?

Our uniform colours are black and white and minimalist, so your child won’t feel left out if they don’t have their uniform straight away. We encourage new students to wear black clothing that is comfortable to move in, such as a T-Shirt and shorts. Different dance styles require different dance shoes. If your child doesn’t have dance shoes yet, they can wear bare feet or joggers for tap.

What does my child bring to their class?

  • Water bottle
  • Snacks (no nuts)
  • Dancing shoes (or bare feet/joggers for tap)
  • Hair tie if hair is not already pulled back

Do parents watch the class?

Parents are not permitted inside the class, however, we have viewing windows in each studio which allows you to watch your child in class.

How many children are in each class?

Although we don’t have a specific cut off, we keep our class sizes controlled to allow every student to get the attention they deserve. If a class becomes too large, we will split the class to ensure the students are learning in a positive atmosphere.

Do we need to buy uniform?

You do not need to buy uniform for your child to participate in classes, however, our uniform is made of top-quality, breathable fabric appropriate for fitness and helps new students feel a part of the team. We have a budget range of uniform items which are extremely affordable and an apparel range which is made from top-quality fabrics. We hold regular uniform days which allow students to try on different uniform items and be fitted for dance shoes. We also have a Buy, Swap, Sell Facebook group which allows new parents to purchase pre-loved uniform items.

What if my child misses a class?

If your child misses a class we encourage you to contact our admin team HERE and arrange for your child to attend a makeup lesson.

Does my child need to perform in the end of year concert?

Our annual concert is NOT compulsory, however, it is an awesome experience for all involved. For parents, it’s a great opportunity to watch how much your child has improved throughout the year, and for students, it’s one of the best dance days of the year.

Do I have to buy costumes if my child decides to perform in the concert?

Most dances will require a costume, which can vary in price. Costumes play a very important part in our concert and can be re-used or sold in our Buy, Swap, Sell Facebook group.
